What I wish was different
More direction. While the freedom was great, having a bit more guidance would have been beneficial for moving a bit faster and with clear direction.
Advice
Embrace the ambiguity of the position. Viasat wants you to get outside your comfort zone and find solutions to difficult problems so don't be afraid of doing something a bit different than what might be expected of your role traditionally.
