What I liked

I love the organizational culture of the nonprofit. Everyone here is very approachable and are willing to help if you get stuck or are having trouble with a task/project. I also like that my supervisor made sure that I was getting the internship "experience" by checking in and making sure that the tasks that I'm assigned are both challenging as well as beneficial for the career path I want to pursue.

What I wish was different

The balance between social media, emails, and grant research/writing is great, but for my personal goals I wish that I could have more experience with the social media aspect of the internship.

Advice

When working on projects, don't be afraid to make it your own. You'll be referencing a lot of the previous interns' works, and while you should absolutely draw inspiration from their success you should put yourself into your work, too. Keep it professional, but make it your own thing!
