I like the flexibility it provides while I go to school. I can work all evenings or a block so I can go to class. The pay is decent although other companies like it have since surpassed the starting rate. Working with the individuals is great, you just live their lives with them and hope to encourage self sufficiency but also maintain their functioning and safety.

Its not s hard job if you dont make it so. Pay attention to the behaviors and patterns of the individuals you are working with, treat them with kindness and respect always. I have never had a bad day at work because of an individual.
