Founded in 1985, The Rainbow Connection offers comfort, hope and joy to Michigan children diagnosed with life threatening medical conditions by making their dearest dream come true. From a glorious trip to Disney World to something as unique as meeting the President of the United States, The Rainbow Connection has fulfilled the dreams of over 3900 Michigan children.
The Rainbow Connection also provides special programs for our wish children and their families. The Special Response Program assists families with financial difficulties brought on by expenses of having a child with a catastrophic illness, such as rent, utilities and funeral expenses, the Enhancement Program provides fun times for these children and their families through summer picnics, a Holiday Party, and tickets to attend area theatres, concerts and sporting events and the Scholarship Program offers $1,000 college scholarships each year to wish children.
A Charity Navigator 4-Star charity, The Rainbow Connection has never turned a child away and depends fully on the generosity of communities across the state to help put a smile on the face of these brave Michigan children.
