Biology Research Intern

May 2023 • San Marcos, TX

What I liked

I enjoyed my experience and the fact that there are small goals that connect to a final long term goal. There is a real sense of purpose. I was able to travel and network.

What I wish was different

I wish the pay was better and that when I returned to school I got more hours. I had to get another job in addition to this one. I wish there was more collaboration in person.

Advice

Communication is important and be willing to compromise. Be able to have free time in your schedule in case of emergencies.

Student Worker

August 2017 • San Marcos, TX

What I liked

Working on campus has been such a great experience. They encourage you to do homework and study for test during work. This is really helpful being a college student. Also the office is closed at 5 pm so you are not expected to work late hours.

What I wish was different

I do not wish for anything to be different, nothing about my job is terrible.

Advice

I would advice people to work on campus, its a way for you to make money but still be able to stay on top of your school work.
