What I liked

I loved seeing how medical centers work from the inside. It was also amazing to work closely with doctors and talk to patients themselves. I learned so much about the infertility field and I found myself talking about it all year.

What I wish was different

Sometimes I would be filing instead of medical assisting which could be pretty tedious and boring but I understand that each job comes with ups and downs.

Advice

I would advise students who are interested in a type of field, in my case medicine, to go out and try to get an internship or a job with that field just to get a feel of what it is like. I never thought women's health and infertility would be something I'd like to do, but after my summer experience, my perspective has changed and I plan on pursing women health science.
