Overnight Camp Counselor

What I liked

- I like that I had the opportunity to develop leadership skills while overseeing and guiding campers - I liked that I was able to see campers grow in confidence, faith, and character over the course of their stay. - I enjoyed how close-knit Spruce Lake's community is and how that translated into the daily work environment.

Advice

- Come prepared. - Be ready to be stretched and grown. - Bring a hammock !

What I liked

- Chance to advance video editing skills and show your creativity - Lots of hands-on experience in different settings (worship, interviews, testimonies, sports, low-light settings, etc.) - Opportunity to try out different storytelling/editing styles (corporate, ministry, memes, etc.) - Great camaraderie with Spruce Lake team

What I wish was different

Advice

- Take advantage of the camera equipment that is offered: cameras, drones, GoPros, etc. - Prioritize rest and hydration

Camp Counselor

The people there were cool. Being a camp counselor was amazing. Loved the kids. The staff was chill most of the time.

I wish things went more smoother.

Only be a camp counselor if you genuinely love kids.
