Baby-Sitting is a great way to earn an un-taxed paycheck. I got additional experience with kids, which was beneficial as I just began my first job as a preschool teacher.

I would have liked to work in a different location. I had an in home salon and built a clientele quickly, but being closer downtown would have built my business even more.

Use all the connections/sources to market yourself. I used Nextdoor, Facebook, Instagram, connected with other social media influencers, etc. it made all the difference.

I enjoyed spending time with the kids and helping them with their summer homework.
What I wish was different
I wish the kids had been more cooperative and listened better, and there were not as long of hours. There were several weeks where I worked more than 40 hours, but did not get paid overtime.
Advice
Make sure if you are going to be a nanny that you ask for gas money as well as a salary. I drive the kids at least an hour a day and did not get gas money. Also, meet with the kids a few times before you start to make sure they ate the right fit for you.
