Rausch Coleman Homes

Summer Intern

May - August 2024 • Oklahoma City, OK

What I liked

The team was absolutely the best part of the experience. Everyone in the office was welcoming, supportive, and willing to take the time to teach me different processes across multiple roles. I really appreciated how much they invested in helping me learn. Out in the field, the experience was very hands-on, which made it easy to understand how things work by actually doing them. It was a great balance of guidance and real-world exposure.

What I wish was different

I genuinely wish I hadn’t had so many personal responsibilities to manage during the fall—I would have loved to stay on when they offered me an opportunity. It was a great team and a valuable experience, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity.

Advice

If you're looking for a residential construction internship, this is a great one to consider. Rausch Coleman (now part of Lennar) was incredibly flexible and supportive during my time there. They encouraged me to explore different areas of the business and helped tailor the experience to my interests. I was able to gain hands-on experience both in the office and out in the field, which was exactly what I was hoping for. Although I haven’t worked there since the Lennar transition, I’ve heard positive things from former colleagues. Take advantage of the opportunity to ask questions and get involved—there’s a lot to learn if you’re eager and proactive.
