Technical Intern

What I liked

Smaller company, so when you need help there is always someone nearby to assist you! The work schedule is extremely flexible, and I was given a lot of independence to accomplish my projects. The projects were interesting and fun, and very challenging!

What I wish was different

I rarely saw my supervisor, but some may see this as a positive. I had plenty of feedback from other department leaders, so I was never lost or confused on projects.

Advice

If you are ever interning and find yourself with downtime (between projects, waiting for team members, etc.) I would strongly recommend speaking with the people on your department and asking for extra tasks! It is a great way to learn a lot in the short 3 months you have with the company. You have to be a self-starter and seek out any stretch assignments that interest you if you want to gain as much experience as possible.

What I liked

Very Hands on and very welcoming. The company was very accepting of me into the program which allowed me to work very closely with the full time engineers and to be treated as such.

What I wish was different

There were some points where the work lulled down. Its expected at any job however.

Advice

You get out what you put into it. If you work hard and try your best, it will be a very rewarding experience. But if you lollygag and are not motivated, you will not have a good experience.
