I love working with everyone in my office and I love working on campus because they really understand student employment and really work with your schedule.
What I wish was different
I wish the pay would be higher, but I still love my job.
Advice
Handshake is so easy and efficient to use, I can easily apply for anything. Now that I have a job for school I am not applying for internships through handshake!

What I liked
Great, I loved meeting my coworkers and getting to know them on a personal level. Also, I felt like it was a great experience to get my foot in the door at Pittsburg State University
What I wish was different
Starting at 7 a.m. and going to until 4:30 p.m. in the summer made work long at times.
Advice
It is important to be able to communicate and work well with others.

What I liked
I love working in this department. This was meant to be an on-campus job throughout the school year but ended up including summer hours as well. Being able to work during the summer was highly beneficial and helped pay for summer classes.
What I wish was different
There was nothing that I would have changed. This job gave me insight into secretarial duties as well as big picture aspects like Career Fairs and Student Etiquette Dinners.
Advice
Working in this department has given me great skills, especially proper phone etiquette. Talking over the phone can be difficult, but it is important to make a genuine connection with the other person and show them that you care.
