I really enjoyed this experience overall. I got the opportunity to learn about different aspects of a design position that simply can't be taught in the classroom; things like going to press checks and troubleshooting on the spot. In addition, I had the opportunity to experience decision-making processes in the real world with a real client, as well as work on larger projects that enhanced my portfolio greatly.
What I wish was different
It's a given that you will always want to experience more. I think if anything, I would have liked to experience more variety in my projects, but I did get to work on multiple projects and enhance my knowledge of design and the industry throughout my experience.
Advice
Don't be afraid to speak up and dive in to other areas of the field, there are so many ways to design! You never know what you might find yourself enjoying!
