I became very comfortable with money, and I also became comfortable with asking questions in the workplace.
What I wish was different
I wish I received more hours, and wish I was trained on barista so I could help make drinks .
Advice
My advice would be to not be afraid to ask questions when you are confused or need help, because that will be very helpful in the long run.

Associate Trainer
July 2016 - August 2018 • Parkersburg, WV
What I liked
Panera is a very open-ended job. There is a certain level of expectation when you start but it’s easy to move up in the ranks. Slowly, you’ll get trained on everything in the cafe and become a trainer and then you’ll be able to move up the ladder.
What I wish was different
I wish I had gotten a raise once I hit my first year of working there. In my two years of working for Panera, I was still working minimum wage when I left for school.
Advice
It’s a great first job, and if you work hard enough- it’s a great job for life.
