I was given the freedom to work independently and was able to approach any person in the office to ask questions. I wasn't treated like an intern, I was treated like any other first year and was given the freedom and responsibility to work at a pace I could handle.

Don't be afraid to approach that partner or manager with your questions. They're all great and welcoming people.

What I liked
As soon as I started, I was put on actual audit jobs within the state. The real, hands-on experience was the best way to learn the ropes! The atmosphere is very welcoming, too, as everyone is patient and understanding with questions and issues that may arise.
