learning adventures teacher

What I liked

Kindercare provides great opportunities for learning and growth. The team was welcoming from the start. A place where meaningful relationships can be built between families, children, and staff.

What I wish was different

Management could be a bit more stable and consistent. Seems that understaffing is an issue

Advice

Do not get comfortable! Every day is a different learning experience.

Childcare Worker

September 2018 • Tigard, OR

What I liked

I loved the opportunity to grow as a teacher and mentor and to test my kindness in patience. It was an incredible opportunity to realize my abilities to do things very well that I thought I wouldn't do well with. I have a great love for the kids here and I feel comfortable and needed in every classroom from infants to school-age. (6 weeks to 12 years)

What I wish was different

My coworkers didn't have the same mindset I did to live the principles of KinderCare Education, and so it was frustrating sometimes to see them act in certain ways towards the kids that seemed to be out of frustration or tiredness, when they should just take a break because these kids' lives are being impacted by their every act.

Advice

Motivate your coworkers with love and keep in contact with your employer about the correct way to handle situations. Keep on doing what's right and loving the students. Ask your coworkers for help on your goals so they understand how you expect your best behavior to be.

Lead Teacher

May 2018 • Rochester, MN

What I liked

I loved having an opportunity to connect and work with kids.

What I wish was different

I wish that the classrooms were a bit bigger. Working with 15-30 school age kids is not easy in such a confined space.

Advice

I would advise that you be prepared to work over 8 hr. shifts.
