What I liked

I loved working for JOURNi! Although the internship was unpaid, the fact that it was a non-profit was so beneficial to me because I had direct influence on valuable assets of the company. For example, the other intern and I had a lot of creative freedom over the Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages. Therefore, I felt like the projects that I worked on were actually impactful to the company and not just "busy work."

What I wish was different

I think that something that I wish had been different would be writing down my experiences with this internship throughout its course.

Advice

I think a very valuable piece of advice would be to set goals for yourself! It is easy to become complacent in internships and not challenge yourself. While it's easy to do exactly what you are told, I think there is value in challenging yourself and setting goals that will better your personal and professional development.
