Small teams meant that you got to become familiar with the people in your workspace. There were also many opportunities to meet and work with people in other departments.
What I wish was different
More transparency regarding follow up offers or positions opening in the future. More onboarding information before the internship started to offer information on who would be my manager and what exactly to expect.
Advice
Make sure you meet everyone the first couple weeks. This opens up the opportunity to get on more projects as people are more likely to reach out to you if something comes up.

Real Estate Brokerage Intern

What I liked
I liked the weekly meetings the interns had to learn about all parts of the business. Open door policy: everyone was friendly and willing to help.
What I wish was different
I wish my mentor was more involved.
Advice
Take control of your internship. Have one on one meetings with people to learn more about them and what they do. It helped me figure out what I want to do in real estate.

Property Management Intern
May 2023 • Boston, MA
What I liked
Beautiful building and great staff. I had the opportunity to speak to a lot of people in a lot of different fields, due to there being several tenants in the building.
What I wish was different
I wished there were more interns besides myself.
Advice
Property management is a great field for people who don’t want to do the same thing everyday. Some days I would be at my desk doing many invoices and other days I’m giving tours and much more!
