Delivery Driver
August 2018 • Elkhorn, NE
What I liked
On top of my wage at 10.25, you earn your tips and money back for gas. It is a very easy job that makes a lot of money. Tips during the summer average about $50 for every 4-5 hour shift. They were very flexible with hours and gave me all the hours to work that I wanted.
What I wish was different
The pay at the particular Jimmy Johns I worked at was $1-$2 less than other Jimmy Johns stores in the city. I wish I would have inquired about the starting pay at stores in the area before I selected the store i worked at.
Advice
The store that I worked at required you to have insurance that would cover delivery driving. If you switch your insurance company to get this job, make sure you are making enough tips per month to make it worth paying more for insurance.
