IES Abroad Programs

Marketing Intern

June - July 2017 • London, England

What I liked

I loved being able to work in an international city and be a part of the workforce there. I enjoyed the parts of my internship which allowed me to facilitate live events and connect with small businesses.

What I wish was different

Initially, I had hoped my internship placement with IES would be in a field more closely related to my majors. I felt the work I was doing was useful and the skills I learned important, though it is not the field I hope to go into after graduation.

Advice

Make clear what your strengths are so you can do good work that builds on those skills, and make clear what your weaknesses are so you can develop skills you didn't have before.
