What I liked

I loved learning about pathogens and the process of food testing, it was a great experience and I look forward to coming back after graduation.

What I wish was different

Having a set schedule for the summer, to go through different labs after a certain period of time.

Advice

It’s important to network with others. We were introduced to other companies there as well and were given opportunities to reach out and network with people who were in the same position as us.

What I liked

I liked the different plating techniques that I learned because it was much more in depth than what we covered in classes.

What I wish was different

The management was terrible and there was no training. You had to figure everything out on your own. They put all new hires on second shift with a manager that has no managerial skills and is very rude. She was also quite lazy and would not teach you how to do anything. She would also become very annoyed when asked questions.

Advice

If ever going to work here you need to have very tough skin and an ability to train yourself on how to do the tasks necessary.
