Finexio

Data Analytics Intern

November 2019 • Orlando, FL

What I liked

I enjoy the culture the company has. If you have questions, they are excited to answer them and happy to help you with anything you're struggling with.

What I wish was different

Since it's a startup, plans for your position can change rapidly. Having a clear direction and idea of what was going to happen was slightly lacking at times.

Advice

It's a wonderful experience to see how this tiny company handles all of its data. It's amazing to see how less than 20 people run this whole organization. Main thing to keep in mind is to be flexible and always be ready with questions. They understand you don't know everything but knowing how to learn and enjoyment of learning is super important.

Marketing Intern

July - August 2019 • Maitland, FL

What I liked

The working atmosphere is incredible. From the first day, I started everyone helped me feel welcomed. Even though the internship was brief I was able to learn from all, not just the marketing group. Allowing me to stay involved and really gain knowledgeable experience. I was able to attend several weekly/bi-weekly meetings and assist the sales team, which led to taking charge of my own tasks.

Advice

My advice would be don't be afraid to ask questions, the more you know about Finexio the more equipped you'll be. Make sure to take advantage of all the experienced individuals as they are willing to teach you.

Operations Analyst intern

September 2018 • Maitland, FL

What I liked

I loved the Start-Up environment at Finexio. Everyone is super motivated to see the company grow and do well. I feel like being a finance major and realizing the important technological changes in the industry really gave me the ability to learn even more. I had the freedom to attend important meetings and be apart of certain projects as well as learn about the common challenges Start-Ups face in general.

Advice

The more questions you ask the better off you will be. There will not be anyone walking you on a leash, it is up to you to get involved and broaden your learning curve.
