Family Health Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Federally Qualified Health Center serving the citizens of Kalamazoo County, with a focus on underserved patients. Opened in 1971 in a converted trailer, FHC has grown to five high-quality health care facilities with state-of-the-art services, plus mobile health and dental clinics, all serving our community.

*The Western Michigan University Homer Stryker Medical School's residency program is the first Family Medicine residency program to be on-site at a Federally Qualified Health Center in Michigan.
**Family Health Center houses a state-of-the-art dental facility containing 25 dental chairs, making it the largest dental program at any Federally Qualified Health Center in Michigan.
The schools in Kalamazoo are host to the Kalamazoo Promise, the only scholarship of its kind. The program provides resident graduates of the Kalamazoo Public Schools with up to 100 percent of their tuition and mandatory fees for four years at Michigan's universities and community colleges.
