Mechanical Engineering Intern

January - August 2020 • Hoboken, NJ

What I liked

I greatly enjoyed my internship at EnHatch. During my time there, I learned how to use many different programs, including ProEngineer, Meshmixer, Blender, and Photoshop. I was also given the opportunity to work on and help design medical devices, 3-D print medical device and bone models, and examine cadavers. The people in the company are incredible and helpful, with a relaxed, though productive, environment.

What I wish was different

Unfortunately, the majority of my internship ended up being remote due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and I wasn't able to take the full learning opportunity this internship provided. The cutting short of my in-person time working with Enhatch is easily my biggest regret from the internship.

The first time I applied to Enhatch, I didn't get the internship. However, during the interview, I saw that the people, the dynamic of the workspace, and the work the company did were exactly what I was looking for, so applied again for my next Co-op, and got the position. If you know something is the right fit for you, don't give up on it; it was definitely worth trying again.
