What I liked

It was cool to meet new people throughout the company and build relationships with them. On top of that, I was able to work on a major highway expansion project. I loved being able to look after my own crew and making a contribution to providing safer and easier travel to such a busy area in Minocqua, WI.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have experienced some of the other projects going on not just in the office I was working at, but at all offices. The project took up quite a bit of time, but at least I was able to know what was going on.

Advice

Do not be afraid to ask questions if you don't know something. You are there to learn and they know that. You should have some knowledge of what's going on and be able to relate a little bit to school. Not everything goes by the book though, so there will be new experiences to learn. Don't be afraid to.
