Summer Programs Student Coordinator

June - August 2018 • Prescott, AZ

What I liked

I enjoyed having an opportunity to work with younger students. Having the opportunity to help inspire the next generation of pilots and future college students is something I value. Additionally working with my peers and creating friendships was another advantage to working over the summer. Many people that I met while working are now friends and in the same classes during this semester.

What I wish was different

One thing that I wish differed is the amount of time worked with students exploring my current major. Due to my age I was not able to drive company vans, which didn’t allow me to be scheduled with my desired student group. In the future it should work out because I will be able to drive company vans by the summer of 2019.

Advice

If someone has the opportunity to work with a younger generation, take the opportunity because you will learn and grow in terms of maturity and humility.
