Trade and Economic Policy (Development) Intern

September - December 2017 • Washington, DC

What I liked

Very informative, great people, great atmosphere, and super interesting!

What I wish was different

I wish I had the opportunity to learn more technical skills, but the internship really broadened by knowledge on international development in the world! I also wish I had networked more.

Advice

When you have an internship, don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and take on a project that might be a bit daunting. You'll learn so much from it! Also, interact with the people in your department! They can offer some great advice, and you never know they could end up helping you in future career development.
