What I liked

This experience was enticing and taught many useful skills for jobs in human development and psychology fields. I loved developing connections with the children during the weekend camps, and learning more about supporting children with disabilities.

What I wish was different

Because they were barely starting out at that location when I joined the team, the hours were difficult (~48 hours in just one weekend--sleeping is included in that time, but you're on call); however, they have been working on scheduling people in better, so employees do not get quite as exhausted by the end of the weekend. I'm glad they're fixing this up.

Advice

Do not be afraid to ask for help! The employers are experienced and wonderful, and are always happy to help (and it is always better to ask than assume).
