What I liked

Co-oping for Delta was one of the best experience's I had during my time at UC. I enjoyed the dynamic work I was given as I was treated as a full-time employee. My colleagues were engaging and helpful and the culture was extremely welcoming. The flight benefits were a nice perk as well :)

What I wish was different

The housing and HR process.

Advice

You will get out of this co-op what you put into it.

What I liked

My coworkers were very knowledgeable. Robust experience throughout the company. Some of the smartest minds in the world. Great teachers and mentors. The built-in networking events were very helpful and my work badge functioned as a free boarding pass on any Delta flight. The perks were unbeatable. The experience was very unique.

What I wish was different

Closer to home.

Advice

Don't let opportunities pass you by. Work hard and stay humble. Overcome barriers to do something great and you will thank yourself.

Absolutely loved the support and trust that the managers invest in new hires and intern. I was assigned truly impactful work, and offered opportunities for visibility within the leadership of the company so long as I performed to the best of my abilities and on par withexpectations. Colleagues are wonderful and supportive as well, and there are so many opportunities for learning and continuous development

A little more support on onboarding in how to navigate the larger organization, benefits, etc.

Apply for the internship! This is a major learning opportunity for those who are willing to take it. Possibly the best internship for an Aviation Maintenance Science student.

There were frequent training sessions and lectures held on the Delta campus that any employee could participate in. My supervisor also sent me to a training seminar in Texas, where I learned how to use data analysis software.
