Carrier Sales Intern

May - August 2019 • Minneapolis, MN

What I liked

I enjoyed having almost the same responsibilities as the fulltime employees. The 2-week training period before hand was beneficial, but it was a learn as you go kind of job. The atmosphere of the office was also great because they would play music all day.

What I wish was different

Little more hands on experience before hitting the floor. I did not know what I was doing for the first week and made some mistakes when talking to carriers. I know it isn't a bad thing to make mistakes, but I lost trust of some carriers because of silly little mistakes that could have been avoided.

Advice

Be prepared to work hard and I hope you like talking on the phone because there will be a lot of that.

National Account Manager Intern

May - August 2019 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

I loved getting the opportunity to experience inside sales. The people at Coyote were my favorite part of the internship. Everyone was very welcoming and approachable. I also loved that we did what the full time employees did.

What I wish was different

I can’t think of anything.

Advice

Be confident in yourself! I was intimidated because I was not very knowledge about the industry coming into the position. (They’ll teach you). Try your best and you can compete with even those that studied supply chain in school.

What I liked

Culture was great. Very young and fun environment, enjoyed coming to work each day to be with the great people at Coyote.

What I wish was different

The salary structure.

Advice

Go into this opportunity with an open mind. A lot of people I know go into logistics and love it and find endless success, others not so much. You may find this industry is for you!

What I liked

They treated you like an adult and made you feel like part of their family. I had no issues making friends or finding something to do after work. Coyote pairs you with a perfect mentor and allows you to work independently but ask for help when needed.

What I wish was different

Nothing. I learned so much this summer and had a great time making friends and memories.

Advice

Work hard but have fun. It can be stressful but the people around you make it so much better.
