Software Engineering Intern

June - August 2021 • Wayne, PA

What I liked

I really liked how much of a learning experience it was. The company was very supportive of me and wanted to make it a valuable experience not only for them, but also for me.

What I wish was different

I wish it had been in-person.

Advice

Try to learn as much as you can. You will be surrounded by so many experienced people and you should try to listen and learn from them as much as possible. With that being said, don't sell yourself short, you probably know more than you think.

Business Services Intern

May - July 2020 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

What I enjoyed the most from this internship was my time dedicated to connecting with other future professionals, despite the online climate that the ongoing pandemic forced. I was beyond grateful to be able to continue my internship while many of my peers had their internships cancelled--but to work with a company that was so dedicated to their employees blew me away as well. I was constantly in meetings and small conversations with my higher-up's, other interns and even the higher VP's and chief officers that managed at-large segments of the corporations. I felt like my opinion and my ideas that I created were not only valued, but sought to be implemented as well. For a Fortune 100 company, the atmosphere was more like a small home office which I felt added to my overall experience.

What I wish was different

My only stipulation with my role was that I wished it was in-person, but of course COVID made that possibility improbable. I would not change anything about how I interacted with each challenge and individual in my 11-week program.

Advice

My biggest piece of advice would be to enter this experience with an open mind and an eager heart. Everyone in this conglomerate wants to see the best professional portion of you shine, and while some challenges you face will feel uncomfortable, you will exit the summer-long program even moreso adept in your leadership skills than you had eleven weeks prior.

Customer Care Intern

May - August 2019 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

I liked how amazing the Central Division facility was. The view of the Braves stadium was breathtaking and I loved learning how to navigate this corporate setting. I met a lot of like-minded ambitious students from all over the US. The HR team took such great care of us and we frequently had catered meals, and fun experiences in the battery. Although it was rigorous and challenging, I learned so much within a short period of time. I would highly recommend interning at Comcast.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have had the opportunity to rotate to different functions of the Company and had more than just one Supervisor. Make sure that you go out of your way to make contacts in different areas.

Advice

Have an idea of what function of the company you want to work in before you apply. (Marketing, Finance, IT, etc.)
