Columbia University

Research Assistant in Natural Language Processing

May - July 2017 • New York City, NY

What I liked

Being in the city, learned about computer science research process, worked somewhat with others in a team environment, learned machine learning tools, Columbia is beautiful

What I wish was different

I did not have a predefined project going in and I had to figure it all out on my own which was cool in some ways but a little intimidated and I wish I had more guidance.

Advice

Realize that as an undergraduate your role in a major research lab is limited but you can still learn a lot.
