I was able to learn much more than I thought while also making friends and networking with coworkers.
What I wish was different
I wish it was in person and not virtual. That would’ve changed the experience quite a bit.
Advice
Be open minded and ask questions. It’s okay to feel stupid while asking questions. Those around you are expecting that.

The staff at Cohen and Company are very friendly, welcoming, and were enjoyable to work with throughout the course of my internship. They were always willing to help me work through problems and gave me meaningful work not just work to keep me busy.

What I liked
I loved the atmosphere at Cohen & Company. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Everyone was open for questions and willing to help whenever a situation arose where it was necessary. They also made sure to make everyone feel welcome. Other than that, the work load was reasonable and I really enjoyed getting hands on experience.

What I liked
I liked the people that I worked with and the atmosphere, in general. The culture was great and I enjoyed getting real-world experience.
What I wish was different
I realized during the internship that I wanted to pursue something other than accounting. So, I wish that maybe I pursued a different type of internship, but I am happy that I was able to use this experience to realize I have other career interests.
Advice
Ask questions. As an intern, it can be intimidating going in and not knowing much. However, everyone was helpful and receptive to my questions.
