The small nature of the institute meant that interns got to work hands on on different projects. I loved working in cross-functional teams with interns from different departments; it was a great lesson in collaboration.
What I wish was different
It would've been great to meet the other interns more or have slightly more structured group work time–working from home got lonely at times!
Advice
If the internship is in a remote setting, ask for advice, feedback, and work! Someone won't be able to see how you're doing 24/7, so being a personal advocate is a must.
