More structured training.

The job does require a decent amount of experience going in. It would be difficult for someone to start and learn everything they need to perform without having any prior experience.

More Training for the position and time to learn all of the job requirements.

Know that every job will require learning new skills. Don't feel bad if you don't know everything about a new position going into it. Learning new skills takes time.

I got experience working in a real theatre company with great people and gained terrific knowledge about the field.
What I wish was different
I wish there would have been more leadership positions and room for growth. Everyone’s positions were very stagnant.
Advice
If you’re a theatre student, do it! You’ll potentially hate your life while it’s going on - long hours, late nights - but it’s an incredible opportunity that gives you a taste of working in a real-life theatre company.
