RA

July - August 2018 • Grand Rapids, MI

What I liked

I got to work with people that and help wherever I could. I got to be a part of Entrada, a program I am grateful for being able to go through myself. Those students also know they can ask me for help during the school year if they need it too. Also the staff was wonderful, and I couldn't have asked for a better team.

What I wish was different

The rules we were supposed to enforce be more consistent. Do to various circumstances, we could not apply certain rules like the dress code as originally planned, which was a hassle and somewhat ignored.

Advice

It was a great experience, and I learned a lot, but you shouldn't go into a job where you are responsible for others unprepared. Nor should you go into a job where your primary task is facilitate others' success without a servants heart and willingness to give.
