Bucket List Community Cafe

About Bucket List Community Cafe

Bucket List Community Café started as an item on a bucket list. It has evolved into the pulse of North Denver. An online place of information, connection and inspiration. The site, founded by television producer and journalist, Vicky Collins, through her production company, Teletrends, has become a well-recognized source of news and information for North Denver residents, neighborhood organizations, city leaders, local media, small businesses and non-profits. It reflects the diversity of the community and its unique neighborhoods.

Bucket List Community Café is an innovative online gathering place to learn what’s happening from the grassroots. It’s a place to meet and talk about what matters featuring news, issues, culture, events, people, pets, small businesses, and more. Our beat is the neighborhoods from Northwest to Northeast Denver. We have a website where folks find the mission, blog and connections to community. Also, on Facebook where folks find the daily news feed and on Instagram and Twitter. It is journalism by walking around and telling stories about what’s happening at the street level.

We are growing with the help of rising journalists and strategic marketers like you. If you want to be a writer or journalist when you get out of college, or want to be a journalism entrepreneur this is for you. If you are a strategic communications or marketing major with a head for metrics and analysis of social media this is for you. If you are looking for real world experience in a startup this is for you. If you want to be mentored by someone who has spent a career in network news, local and national journalism, online publishing and entrepreneurship this is for you.

“I really enjoyed the experience and the opportunity to get real experience to cover stories on the ground and that were interesting to me. I also appreciated being pushed to cover things which may have not always been interesting to me. ”
