Every person I had the pleasure of meeting through out the internship was more than happy to talk about their career and help answer any questions I had about Broadridge and any other topic in general. Data Center Technician Intern

June 2018 • Newark, NJ

What I liked

Getting my foot in the door of IT, getting used to the professional office environment, learning how different technologies and services works within a company, networking with professionals, and enhancing my skills through hands-on experience.

What I wish was different

A more structured technical program for college interns or new-college hires where they are trained intensely for various positions within the company such as for coding or quality assurance as well as where they can learn more about the company and all the services it provides for its clients.

Advice

Make sure to push yourself so you are always eager to learn new things and get better. Some managers may not realize how much and how quickly a young intern can pick up stuff. Also don't shy away from networking whenever you can as you will be in contact with many professionals and higher ups from your team as well as other teams on a daily basis in the office.
