Everyone that I worked with either directly or indirectly was extremely helpful and cared about making the experience worthwhile. I was given tasks that would be seen and used by clients and was able to expand on the knowledge and skills I already had.
What I wish was different
I overall loved my experience with Booz and wouldn't have changed anything
Advice
Don't be afraid to ask questions, but put in the effort to see if you can figure things out on your own first.

I got to build software that was important. We rewrote the navies communication system from the ground up and it is being implemented across the entire fleet now.
What I wish was different
Not much. I loved it.
Advice
Get internships. Do projects. Don't reily on simply what gcc requires you to do. That is not good enough. Make the extra effort to show companies that you care about your profession by persueing it outside of normal school hours.

Summer Games Intern
June - August 2018 • Norfolk, VA
What I liked
It was a lot of fun, met a lot of great people. Taught myself a lot and learnt a lot of how to deal with people. Spent 10 weeks working with a team of not only developers was a wicked experience
What I wish was different
More people who were able to mentor me about game design, and who were connected with the game industry.
Advice
People who know nothing about coding literally know NOTHING about how coding works. Also, communication with such people (and even fellow developers) are incredibly important.
