What I liked
I loved getting to work with students on a daily basis. It helped prepare me for my current job as a fulltime teacher.
What I wish was different
It was hard being away from my friends and family for three months. I knew this was part of the job, though.
Advice
Being a summer camp counselor is an amazing experience! I just think it's important to remember to take care of yourself in such a demanding position.

The multitudes Of people I met on the job, as well as the many types of music I experienced.
What I wish was different
That it hadn’t been so hot! I felt bad for the counselors and students who spent very day out in that heat.
Advice
If you’re thinking of applying for a job at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, be ready to give your all - it’s totally worth it.
