Excellent work experience with a great team in a functional office. They provided a lot of extras and benefits that would not be had at another internship. Highly recommend this to anyone interested in advocacy.
What I wish was different
Paid position would have been nice but this program was through the Washington Center
Advice
Always ask what events they will have planned before you accept an internship. Your experience will be so much better if you work for an organization that is politically savvy and well-networked with others.
