“Sitting outside on one of the prettiest lakes of the area. ”

Aquatic Invasive Species Intern

“This is an outdoor-oriented and hands on internship that allows you to enjoy the summer while contributing to AIS state-wide and regional work. My favorite part of the entire experience was being able to work alongside such knowledgeable and passionate people. I worked with AJ (Regional AIS Coordinator) almost every day, and by doing so I was inspired to be a better and more thorough scientist. Another highlight of this experience was that I was able to participate in different activities with Beaver Creek Reserve. Along with being an AIS intern, I also participated in a Bluebird Restoration Project, held lessons as a teacher for BCR kids camps, and was able to help in a couple bird surveys. ”
