Control system integration Intern

June - August 2019 • Roseville, CA

What I liked

I was valued and trusted by my coworkers and leaders. I traveled to a worksite and was able to personally lead contractors during installation. I was encouraged to ask questions and learn about new systems and programs. Significantly contributed to a 3-millon dollar design proposal.

What I wish was different

Being able to go on-site more often. Be involved with a project as it goes through every phase of the design, engineering, and implementation (somewhat unrealistic for a 3-month timeframe)

Advice

Don't be afraid to ask questions. When in an internship the goal is to gain as much first-hand experience as you can. Also to show you are determined to work hard and learn.

Controls Engineer

June 2018 • Denver, CO

What I liked

The group of professionals in the Denver offices are wonderful, and every step of my experience thus far has been everything I could want in an entry-level engineering role. An emphasis on ensuring quick immersion of experience on-site for young professionals, partnered with a company culture that prioritizes personal growth & well-being, makes for an opportunity an engineer interested in this field should seek.
