The people on site were very friendly. I felt very welcomed and like part of the group from the moment I arrived at the department I was working in. The people I worked with often were good teachers. Also, everyone was very understanding and wanted to make sure the schedule they wanted me to have worked with any summer classes I was taking.
What I wish was different
The only thing I wish had been different is that there were more things that I could do. I was told flat out that there wouldn't be enough work to keep me busy eight hours a day five days a week. It made sense because the site I was it was small and everything thing was well maintained so not much broke and needed to be fixed.
If they ask you for an interview and give you the option of face to face or a phone interview always go to the face to face interview. It might be more nerve-racking, but you learn a lot about the site. You get a feel for the site and the people along with the feel of the company you are working for.
