What I liked

Loved my coworkers and had a really fun manager.

What I wish was different

YOU WILL NOT MAKE MONEY. They will say you make $400 per sale, but you will actually only make about $200. That $200 will pay for your transportation, meals, and housing. Expect to make about 1 sale per week. Be ready to be attacked by guard dogs, being called racial slurs, pulled guns on you, working in the rain, bugs, 2 hour there and back car drives, and doors slammed in your face. You will be taught unethical sales practices because there is nothing better than the RING Doorbell Camera, and corporate will treat you poorly. This is across all their locations and all levels of employment. TRUST ME.

Advice

You will be lied to and they will teach you to lie. You will come out of the experience losing money unless you want to conform to their lying sales tactics. Check the google reviews and they will back this up. You will have to beg for your paychecks otherwise you will not get the money. STAY AWAY unless you are strictly going for the learning experience. The learning experience taught me to never trust a sales person, but also how to adjust and make close friends with those very different from me.

Business to Consumer Sales

May - June 2018 • Boise, ID

What I liked

The sales team I worked with was very encouraging and mentored me tremendously. Sales is a high-high and a low-low career but with the right help and mindset one can accomplish a lot. B2C sales is the hardest type of sales and the experience helped me learn that I can take a tremendous amount of stress and still succeed.

What I wish was different

The company told me we’d be selling in Boise all summer. At the end of June the Boise and Spokane offices merged and everyone in Boise went to live in Spokane until late August. I couldn’t move to Spokane for a number of reasons, so I had to quit. Because I quit I didn’t receive my scholarship $ I’d been working towards as well as the backend of my sale commission payments. Despite working for this tirelessly for 2 months.

Advice

Sales is hard as heck! Especially B2C. I would recommend it to someone looking to get into sales and wants to experience the hardest sales there is. The hours are long and the rejection is high. That being said, it is a great learning experience and gets you out of your comfort zone. The pay is also very high if you can sell.
