Mission Aviation Fellowship

About Mission Aviation Fellowship

MAF desires to see isolated people changed by the love of Christ by serving together to bring help, hope, and healing through aviation.

It was founded in 1945 by a group of WWII pilots who had a vision for how aviation could be used to help spread the Gospel. Since those early days, MAF has been an indispensable partner and servant to Christian organizations and other agencies. MAF enables and maximizes evangelism and church nurture, medical assistance, disaster response, and community development, as well as the training and development of indigenous people.

Through it's vision, MAF shares the love of Jesus Christ by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of isolated people operating in thirteen countries throughout Asia, Africa, Eurasia and Latin America.

Flight Intern

June 2019 - July 2019 Nampula, Nampula Province
“I was able to fly with missionaries in remote locations, see and experience life in Africa, and watch what the missionaries do on a daily basis. I had never traveled out of the country and experienced an international commercial flight. It was a great opportunity to be able to know what a 14 hour international flight is like, since I would like to become a commercial pilot.”
