“I loved working in the PICU because I was paired with a nurse preceptor for the summer and could ask her all of my questions as well as learn from everyone else on the floor. It was a glimpse into 12 hour shifts as a nurse, and was definitely a rewarding experience. I had a lot of hands on experience and worked on my basic nursing skills and building rapport with patients and their families. ”
