About MnTAP

The Minnesota Technical Assistance Program (MnTAP) is an outreach program at the University of Minnesota that helps Minnesota businesses develop and implement industry-tailored solutions that maximize resource efficiency, prevent pollution, reduce costs and conserve water & energy.

MnTAP provides no-cost technical assistance to a wide range of industries throughout the State of Minnesota. By reducing waste and increasing efficiency, businesses can save on disposal and raw material costs, as well as decrease regulatory compliance burdens. These changes help MN businesses remain cost-competitive and create safer, healthier working conditions for employees.

Established in 1984, MnTAP is funded by a grant from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, Division of Environmental Health Sciences.
