Behavior Technician

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is hiring full time Behavior Technicians to support students in K-12 Schools for the 2024-2025 school year in the San Diego County.

The Behavior Technician will work with children, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and provide support to students with behavioral challenges. Additionally, the Behavioral Technician will be responsible for implementing Applied Behavior Analysis techniques, conducting behavior analysis assessments, and developing behavior intervention plans.

  • Morning shifts: 8:00am - 3:00pm  - 30 hours/week
  • Competitive Pay Rate: up to $25 / Hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Follows instructions from the BCBA, teacher, and/or program supervisor
  • Implements behavior management techniques in the form of prevention, intervention, and consequence strategies
  • Reviews and implements behavior intervention plans and ABA goals in IEPs
  • Assists in facilitating academic instruction at the direction of classroom teacher
  • Collects behavioral and academic data accurately and efficiently
  • Strictly adheres to confidentiality requirements
  • Assists students in the development of independent daily living skills through self‐care activities such as toileting
  • Supports students across school environments (i.e. classroom, playground, lunch room, gym, sensory room, library, etc.)
  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

 

Qualifications

  • Must have minimum 6 months of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
